Something about me

I was born on July 22nd, 1973 in a little village in Marche, a province in Central Italy.

I took a degree cum laude in Mathematics on July 1997 at the Università degli Studi di Perugia. My advisor was Antonella Fiacca.

In 1997, I got a scholarship by the National Research Council (CNR) and I carried out my research activity at the Department of Mathematics of the Università degli Studi di Perugia.

From 1998 to 2000, I gave some lectures on Matematica Applicata at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Università degli Studi di Perugia.

From May 2000 to October 2003 I was a Ph.D. student in Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics of the Università di Roma 'Tor Vergata'. My advisor was Michele Matzeu. I took my Ph.D. in Mathematics on January 2004.

Since November 2003 to October 2004, I got a scholarship at the Department of Mathematics of the Università degli Studi di Roma 'La Sapienza'. The research program was `Nonlinear elliptic and parabolic differential equations'. The research director was Filomena Pacella.

Since December 2004  to September 2006, I held a scholarship at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Università degli Studi di Perugia. The research program was `Variational methods and nonlinear differential equations'. The research director was Patrizia Pucci.

Since October 2006 to February 2015 I had an accademic position as Ricercatore at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Università della Calabria.

On December 30, 2013 I got the National Scientific Qualification for Professore di Seconda Fascia (Associate Professor) in the scientific area 01/A3 - Mathematical Analysis, Probability and Statistics.

On November 14, 2014 I got the National Scientific Qualification for Professore di Prima Fascia (Full Professor) in the scientific area 01/A3 - Mathematical Analysis, Probability and Statistics.

From March 2015 to December 2019 I had an accademic position as Professore di Seconda Fascia (Associate Professor) at the Dipartimento di Scienze di Base e Fondamenti (DiSBeF) (since November 2015, Dipartimento di Scienze Pure e Applicate, DiSPeA) of the Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo.

Since December 1, 2015 to December 4, 2023 I was Head of the INdAM Reseach Unit at the Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo.

My research interests include:

• critical point theory;

• variational methods;

• semilinear and quasilinear elliptic equations;

• fractional Laplacian equations;

• nonlocal integrodifferential equations;

• semilinear elliptic variational inequalities (subject of my Ph. D. Thesis);

• elliptic differential inclusions and equations (subject of my Master Thesis);

• impulsive differential inclusions and equations.

Since 2000 I am member of Gruppo Nazionale per l'Analisi Matematica, la Probabilità e le loro Applicazioni (GNAMPA).
